LeBron Out For Another Week At Least

LeBron is still out for the count and will be for at least another week.

He’s been out since Christmas day due to straining the left side of his groin against the Warriors. He’ll be missing the Lakers’ upcoming two games against the Wolves and the Mavs. He’ll also sit when they play the Knicks on Friday night.

The only win in LeBron’s absence came against a Kings team that’s lost three straight. Looks like we shouldn’t be so quick to scoff at his GOAT comment.

Coachella Launches Initiative Against Sexual Harassment

Coachella is making an effort to make their iconic two weekends safer for everyone. A new initiative called Every One will combat sexual harassment and assault at its upcoming festivals.

“We are pushing ourselves to do better and to be better,” the new Every one section of the Coachella website states. “We are taking deliberate steps to develop a festival culture that is safe and inclusive for everyone. Persons of any gender identity or expression, sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, age or ability are welcome at Coachella.”

The Los Angeles Times also reports that “Trained Safety Ambassadors” will be on site to “facilitate access to care services for anyone in distress.”

Virginia Congresswoman Brings Trans Flag to Capitol Hill

One congresswoman is letting the country know exactly who she came to fight for and support. Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) placed the transgender flag right next to the Virginia state flag outside of her office.

“The trans community has been under attack,” Wexton, who is an aunt to a transgender child, told Washingtonian. “I wanted to show my solidarity because we are talking about my friends and family.”

We’re looking forward to seeing the amazing things she’ll be doing for our country on the hill.
