Jim Ross Is Leaving the WWE.
During a recent episode of the “Jim Ross Report” podcast, the 67-year-old wrestling vet announced he’d be leaving the WWE later this month, which is when his contract expires.
“My WWE contract after 26 years will expire on Friday, March 29. And, after talking a couple of weeks ago with Vince McMahon, we have mutually agreed I need to move on,” he shared. “I’ve made a lot of money, Vince is amazing to Jan and myself. He set us up for life financially, of which I can never repay him.”
He added that at 67, he feels he “can get the job done doing wrestling play-by-play,” and is enthusiastic about exploring the opportunity. According to TMZ, word on the street is he may sign with the AEW wrestling organization, but nothing’s set in stone yet.
A Michael Jackson Statue Has Been Removed from a British Museum After Leaving Neverland.
Billboard reports that a Michael Jackson statue was taken down at the National Football Museum in Manchester, England, on Thursday after the airing of Leaving Neverland.
“The museum dedicated to the U.K.’s most popular sport had displayed the statue since 2014,” Billboard explains, “but had it taken down in the wake of the accusations against Jackson.”
The two-part documentary aired on HBO earlier this week and detailed Wade Robson and James Safechuck’s accusations against Jackson for allegedly sexually abusing them as children while they were living at his Neverland Ranch in California.
