Chance the Rapper Is Officially Married.
Chancelor Bennett is a married man as of this past weekend, during which he jumped the broom with longtime bae Kirsten Corley. According to photos shared by The Shade Room, Kim and Kanye were in attendance, along with Dave Chappelle.
ICYMI, Chance took to Twitter ahead of the wedding to share how he and his wife met years ago. They were kids at his mother’s office party, where Corley performed with a Destiny’s Child lip-syncing trio.
“This wasn’t the time or place,” he shared of his dad urging him to perform at the event. “Not just because it wasn’t my party, not because it was their moment to dance, not even cause I was nervous about dancing in front of folks. It’s cause I knew I was gonna marry that girl.”
Captain Marvel Brought in $153 Million over the Weekend.
Captain Marvel set records over the weekend, becoming the 18th largest opening of all time. With $302 million brought in internationally, it’s also holds the record for the sixth highest global debut of all time.
Variety explains, “Disney’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has the 17th-highest launch frame with $155.1 million in 2016. It will be the biggest opening title since Incredibles 2 launched with $182 million in June and should post the best start for a standalone superhero film since Marvel’s Black Panther launched with $202 million in 2018.”
A Third R. Kelly Sex Tape Was Recently Discovered.
TMZ reported Sunday that a third R. Kelly sex tape was handed over to New York City authorities. R. Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, told TMZ that Kelly “denies that he is on any tape with underaged girls,” adding that “the doubt here is self-evident, with reporting that the man on the tape kinda, sorta looks like R Kelly. That doesn’t make it him. It is not him.”
R. Kelly was released from jail on Saturday after paying the $161,633 he owed in child support.
