Offset Won’t Be Charged in His Recent Phone Smashing Incident.

Remember when that fan approached Offset at a checkout line while putting his phone in his face to record a video? Turns out Offset won’t be charged for smashing that fan’s phone.

“On May 20, the warrant was set aside after extensive good faith conversations with members of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Cephus tendered $160.92 to repair the phone screen — the full cost of the repair — and clearly indicating the warrant should never have been issued as a felony in the first place,” Offset’s attorney, Drew Findling, told TMZ on Thursday.

He continued, “Immediately after paying, a Fulton County Judge signed an order setting the warrant aside.”

A New York Private School Teacher Responsible for a ‘Slave Auction’ Has Been Fired.

The mother of one of the Black students involved in the incident detailed via email what happened at North Elementary School in the Watertown City School District.

“He and another African American child were put up in the middle of the class and told they were now slaves,” Nicole Dayes wrote to CBS affiliate WWNY-TV. “The teacher then started the ‘bidding’ by assigning prices to the Caucasian students. After the winning bid was placed, my son was then told how slaves would take the slave owners last name and what he was to call the slave owner by. Then my son and the other ‘slave’ were instructed to call the Caucasian child by ‘master’ and the child’s last name.”

As previously reported, another teacher at The Chapel School in Bronxville was recently placed on administrative leave for holding a mock slave auction as well.
