Kevin Durant’s Achilles Surgery Was a Success.
After rupturing his Achilles tendon during Monday’s win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Kevin Durant underwent a successful surgery on Wednesday in New York City.
“What’s good everybody I wanted to update you all: I did rupture my Achilles. Surgery was today and it was a success, EASY MONEY,” Durant shared in a recent Instagram post.
He went on to express his gratitude for all who have showed their support since Monday, and says he’s looking forward to recovering.
“Like I said Monday, I’m hurting deeply, but I’m OK. Basketball is my biggest love and I wanted to be out there that night because that’s what I do. I wanted to help my teammates on our quest for the three peat,” he continued. “It’s going to be a journey but I’m built for this.”

Dave Chappelle is making his Broadway debut next month. For one week only, you’ll be able to catch Dave Chappelle Live on Broadway from July 9 to July 13, with each show starting at 8 p.m.
Though tickets are available to the general public, the show will be pretty exclusive. According to ESSENCE, no recording devices, including cell phones and cameras, will be allowed during the show.
That said, you’ll want to have your browser open when tickets go on sale June 21 at 10 a.m. ET via TicketMaster.com. We imagine these shows will sell out quickly.

“Me and [Kanye] are working on a few albums,” he said during the interview. “So you’ll be getting them by the end of the summer. Also, my solo album as well. So, I’ve just been collecting all my pieces on the game board so when I present it, everybody sees it in a beautiful light. This is going to be five times better than my first album.”
Word on the street is that Kanye’s solo album is one of those forthcoming projects.
