State of the Union Gave Everyone Headaches
As to be expected, the State of the Union was…well…a mess. A simple skim of Twitter is enough for anyone to see exactly how badly Trump’s first State of the Union went. When he wasn’t going on about how “the war on coal” ended (which occurred well before him) he was going on about all of his other fake accomplishments and turning people of color against each other.
So really, y’all didn’t miss much.
Here are some of the funny faces people made in the audience, though.
Super Blood Blue Moon Had Everyone Awake and Shooketh
On Wednesday morning the moon lit up the sky in a way the U.S. hasn’t seen since 1886. Also known as the “purple eclipse,” the phenomenon is a combination of a blue moon, a supermoon, and a blood moon, otherwise known as a lunar eclipse.
A supermoon occurs when the moon is closest to the earth, making it appear larger and approximately 14 percent brighter. A blue moon refers to when there are two full moons in one calendar month. A blood moon refers to the when the moon is in the earth’s shadow, casting a reddish tint on the moon. Everyone woke up at the crack of dawn (around 5:45 GMT) to see this once in a lifetime phenomenon.

Simone Biles Talks Larry Nassar With Hoda on Today Show
Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles appeared on Today to discuss the Larry Nassar case with Hoda Kotb. She held back tears as she spoke about how hard it’s been to go through what she and her fellow American gymnasts have gone through.
She applauded Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, who presided over the case, and called her a “hero” for not letting him get any power over the girls.
