Donald Trump not only believes he’s doing a great job as president, but his delusional perception of his time in office, minus the recent ceasefire between Israel and Iran, has him believing that he’s deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize.

A sentiment echoed by his son, who then took it a step further because he can’t stop himself from taking unwarranted shots at the best president to ever sit in the Oval Office.

“Affirmative action is when Barack Obama gets the Nobel Peace Prize instead of Donald Trump,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday.

The Trump family has long taken issue with Barack Obama, who famously clowned him at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Trump has spent the better part of the last 14 years trying to prove that he’s not only a responsible president but also worthy of the prize awarded to Obama.

“On Friday, Trump cited a peace deal he said his administration helped broker between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda as evidence of his worthiness, before declaring that he would be overlooked for the honor ‘no matter what’ he accomplishes,” Newsweek reports.

Trump Jr. is not the only one calling for his father to win the prize for recent foreign policy interventions. Senator Katie Britt of Alabama pointed to the ceasefire between Israel and Iran on Tuesday, which was deserving of the honor.

Here’s the funny part: the deadline for nominations was in January.

“President Trump is going to win the Nobel Peace Prize no doubt,” Britt said on Fox News’ “Hannity.” “You look at what he has done with the Congo in Rwanda, you look at where he is with Pakistan and India, and what he has done there, and then you look at this.”

She added: “He has brought peace to a region that needed stability… That’s what we saw today, and look, Democrats do not know what to say. Their silence has never been louder… I think it’s because President Trump just keeps winning and they don’t know what to do.”

Which is hilarious considering Oleksandr Merezhko, the head of Ukraine’s parliamentary foreign committee, who believed in November that Trump was so deserving of the prestigious award that he nominated him for it, told Newsweek earlier this week that he’d withdrawn his nomination.

Merezhko told the news site that he had “lost any sort of faith and belief” in Trump to broker a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Obama won the award in 2009, just eight months into his first term as president, for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” and the Trumps have been hating ever since.
