If white conservatives were more capable of shame, they might be embarrassed by the way they jump at every non-issue their MAGA messiah, Donald Trump, raises against his opponents, particularly his Black opponents, which only ever results in them mirroring the ex-president’s blatant bigotry.

Trump clearly made a fool of himself when he deemed it appropriate to be a white man questioning a Black woman’s racial identity before an audience of Black journalists at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention in Chicago earlier this month, but instead of recognizing his performance as a cautionary tale, white conservatives (and Byron Donalds) are basically out here like: Sure, I want in on that!”

A week after Trump’s abysmal appearance at NABJ, actor and out-of-touch Trump-humper Kevin Sorbo came up with what he apparently thought was a clever test to confirm whether or not Vice President Kamala Harris is Black, which of course, was his caucasity-infused take on Trump saying to Black journalists: “I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?”

“If Kamala really is black, have her say the N-word, let the people decide for themselves,” Sorbo tweeted.

Besides the fact that Sorbo is pretending Black politicians from either party can just freely use the N-word in public without it hurting their political careers (you can always tell when white people are completely oblivious to the concept of code-switching because they’ve never had to do it), the Hollywood has-been doesn’t seem to understand the same thing Trump doesn’t understand: IT’S NOT A WHITE PERSON’S PLACE TO QUESTION ANYONE’S BLACKNESS AT ALL!
Sorbo also just generally sounds salty that he can’t say the N-word.
It’s not just Sorbo, of course. Trump himself keeps doubling and tripling down on the “Kamala Harris isn’t really Black” narrative. His running mate, JD Vance has defended Trump’s remarks, calling Harris an identity flip-flopping “chameleon” as if he isn’t the one who is a former Trump hater who has gone through multiple name changesincluding his surname, which he adopted from his Indian wife’s grandparents—and defended his wife’s non-whiteness by essentially saying he loves her despite it.
Loud and proud white nationalist bed wench Ann Coulter also got in on the racist bandwagon, saying Harris isn’t a “foundational Black,” whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean.
White conservatives think they’re convincing Black people that Harris isn’t one of us—as if we haven’t been chanting, “They Not Like Us” all summer, indicating that we understand how racial identity works—but all Black people see is white people stepping way out of their lane, which might be at least slightly less obnoxious if they knew what they were talking about…which they don’t.
Kamala Harris, the daughter of an Indian mother and a Jamaican-American father, attended Howard University, one of the most well-known HBCUs in America, and she pledged the historically Black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha. If it was ever her intent to hide the Black part of her racial identity, she was off to a terrible start.
White MAGA conservatives appear to be getting more desperate and more outwardly racist by the day in their attacks on Harris. It’s sad and infuriating, and it will get even worse if we let them win in November.
