If there is anyone in this world who could bring “old Kanye” back, it’s Ye aka Kanye West’s daughter, North.
In fact, on Monday, the “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” artist deviated from his normal routine of popping up in the news feed to make wacky, often controversial statements, and he posted a sweet message on Instagram crediting his daughter for inspiring him to “love music again.”
“This little girl made me love music again ,” he captioned the post, which included a black and white photo of North, 11, sitting in a chair next to a keyboard in what appeared to be a makeshift music studio. “She asked me to make beats for her I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beats with my bare hand for BULLY.”
Last year, Ye announced that he was working on a new album titled “Bully,” and though he has yet to announce a release date, he seems to be letting it be known that we should expect his eldest daughter to have quite the presence on the upcoming project.
In fact, Ye also posted on Monday a video of North standing over a keyboard and bopping her head while he instructed someone to play a song. He captioned that post, “Training.”
People who commented on Ye’s IG posts kept it positive and praised him and North for their father/daughter bonding moment, and some of them also appeared to be hopeful that it might even give us Ye’s best version of himself once again.
From Page Six:
“thank you north for inspiring my goat,” one person commented, using the acronym for “greatest of all time.”
“Shes [sic] literally got the best teacher bro,” someone else wrote.
“This is family business,” another fan commented.
“Future legend in training!!” an Instagram user wrote.
“Like Daughter like Father. #GIRLDADS,” one more shared.
North aka “Miss Westie” has been showing interest in following her father into the music world for years now, and she famously brought her Hip Hop ambitions to the stage during Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s listening party for their “Vultures 1” album in Miami in December 2023. Obviously, she’s nowhere near done sharing her talent with the world, and she might even be helping her father the icon get back to a healthy place.
Salute!
