Happy #InternationalKissingDay!

Social media is currently bumping with equal parts hilarious and heart warming takes of what kissing means to them. But how do you feel out what the perfect kiss should look like?

Team CASSIUS has some tips for you to up your lip lock potential.

Put Your Prep Work In

If you know your breath is kicking and your lips are crusty, the odds are against you before you’ve even began. Step up to the plate properly with some chapstick and gum. Keep it smooth and fresh at all times to reassure your chances of getting it on.

Feel Out the Situation

Even if you might have been feeling it since your date walked through the door, it doesn’t always mean the time is right. Are they giving you those flirty eyes? Is that seductive smirk peeking its way out? If everything on your partner’s face is pulling you closer, it might be time to make those moves.

Play By the Bases

There’s typically a lot of debate around where to put your hands in the middle of a kiss. Set yourself up to win by following the bases. First base is typically around the back of the neck or head. From there, as it gets a little more heated, slink your embrace further down to the torso. If you’re feeling real nasty though (and you feel like you have consent from your partner), get a little cheeky and cop a feel on that ass.

Sample the Tongue

Nobody likes an overload of saliva at first dive. If you’re looking to introduce the tongue, do so tastefully by sampling a slight lick before going in for a full on make out. Graze your tongue against your bae’s lips to see if they reciprocate. If they do, that could be your invitation to dive deeper. Even so, inch your way in before shoving yourself all the way down their throat.

Know When to Pull Back

This should be plain and simple. Similarly to SZA, you should be able to tell when the party is over and back up for some air. Don’t overdo it the first time — after all, if this first time goes well there should be plenty of more time for more action.
