SZA Defends Megan Thee Stallion Against Tory Lanez Fans: “U Finna Be Stupid OUTLOUD?”
Tory Lanez‘s legal team renewed efforts to change the narrative and possibly overturn his 2023 conviction related to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, which, of course, has the internet buzzing about the saga again, with Team Tory shouting “Free Tory Lanez” from every moutinain top they can find, and Team Megan defending the Houston rapper against a new wave of misogynoir-inspired attacks.
Well, R&B star SZA is definitely on Team Megan, and she’s not being shy about it.
A content creator who goes by the handle “theluncheonlawyer” on Instagram posted a video poking holes in claims that new evidence is out there that will clear Lanez thoroughly tarnished name. In the comments, SZA said she was “shocked” at how many people were “comfortable bullying” Megan just to back the man who has been tried and convicted of assaulting her.
“The density !!!!! I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of ppl fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault ??!” the songstress commented. “Like out loud where other ppl can see you ?? Lmao u finna be stupid OUTLOUD ?”
While Megan hasn’t responded to SZA’s defense of her, she did recently speak on Lanez’s attorneys’ latest bid to resurrect the case as well as the subsequent social media commentary from Lanez fans.
“At what point are yall gonna stop making me have to re live being shot BY TORY !?” she asked. “At what point are Tory and yall FANS gonna stop lying ? Like how much is the check to keep harassing me? Why is this happening EVERY DAY?”
“One min him/ yall said I was never shot now yall letting him play in yall face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasn’t him oh okay… ?!” the “Hiss” femceee continued. “I’m sick of this shit LEAVE ME TF ALONE!!!! HE AINT DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME AND THAT WAS HIS CHOICE BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT SHIT! IDGAF ABT A BLOG OR A BOT!!! WHY IN TF WOULD ME … MEGAN THEE STALLION HAVE TO LIE ON THIS MF ABT SHOOTING ME!”
“FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT fuck the hate campaign on the internet TORY YOU SHOT ME !!” Megan, who sought a restraining order against Lanez last December, concluded. “Ain’t no new fucking evidence yall been saying the same shit for years.”
Are Tory Lanez fans actually seeking justice, or are they seeking vindication for a Black man at the expense of the Black woman he victimized? This is what they really need to take time to contemplate.
