There’s a new documentary about the Notorious B.I.G on its way, and it’s a must-see.
Two decades after the legend’s death, A&E will release a biography doc about the life and times of the late Biggie Smalls. Directed by Mark Ford and titled Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G., it’s the first biography to be authorized by Biggie’s estate.
According to A&E, the film will explore several facets of the rap mogul’s life, from when he was hustling on the streets of Brooklyn to his relationship with Faith Evans and Lil Kim. In the trailer, Jay Z and Nas also gush about how intricate and inventive B.I.G. was. “He used words that weren’t typical for the lexicon of hip-hop,” Jay Z insisted.”He had the look, he had the presence. To this day, he’s one of the greatest ever to touch the mic. Ever,” Nas adds.
B.I.G.’s widow Faith Evans, mother Voletta Wallace, and friend Lil Cease are also featured in the documentary, A&E reports. Watch the trailer above and be sure to tune in on September 4.
