Update: 9/12/17 12:50 P.M. EST

Arsenio Hall is all set to guest star in an episode of The Mayor. EW reports Hall will “appear in one episode as the distinguished, but hip Reverend Okoye, who is a role model and occasional father figure to Courtney Rose.” No word from Hall just yet about the new gig, but we’re excited to see the talk show vet join the highly anticipated series. Stay tuned.

There’s a dope new ABC series slated for primetime TV this Fall that we’ll be tuning into. The Mayor follows Courtney Rose (played by Brandon Michael Hall), as he embarks on his journey to become the next hottest rapper. Only, in the “publicity stunt of the century,” he runs for mayor of his California hometown to generate buzz for his music career—and wins.

With help from his mom (played by Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown) and best friends (played by CollegeHumor comedic actor Bernard David Jones and Marcel Spears), Rose dives head first into his new position as mayor in an attempt to “transform the struggling city he loves,” according to the press release.

The Mayor is executive produced by Tony winner Daveed Diggs (Broadway’s Hamilton), Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings), written and executive produced by Jeremy Bronson (The Mindy ProjectLate Night with Jimmy Fallon), with the pilot directed by Executive Producer James Griffiths (black-ish).

Watch the full trailer above. The Mayor will debut on October 3 at 9:30 P.M. ET.
