Harlem native and lover of mid-century furniture, A$AP Nast, has partnered with Converse on a retro-themed footwear and apparel collection. The pieces are inspired by the recording artist’s favorite textures and patterns from the 1960s.
The Converse x A$AP Nast collaboration features two of the brand’s most timeless silhouettes— the One Star and the Chuck Taylor. Made with a corduroy upper, the One Star remix features extra fuzzy laces and the model’s trademark star highlighted in deep red leather. The Chuck Taylor All Star 70 is updated in plaid, also featuring fuzzy laces. A dope nod to the inspiration for this release, the phrase “SOMEWHERE IN MID-CENTURY” appears on the sidewalls of both kicks and on custom tees in Cream, Cardinal, and Dark Chocolate.
It’s pretty dope to see the recording artist join fellow A$AP Mob members A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky in making his mark on the fashion industry. The limited-edition launch goes on sale beginning 5pm at the Foot Locker Times Square Flagship in New York on September 28.
