According to YBF, the young creative had been suffering for the past five years from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). He reportedly died from complications of the illness.
Mychael Knight, breakout star from Project Runway Season 3 passed away early this morning at the age of 39, reportsObvious Magazine. The Atlanta-based designer and stylist was featured on Bravo’s popular fashion competition show, Project Runway and Lifetime’s reboot, Project Runway: All Stars.
Known for his elaborate designs for some of our favorite Atlanta Housewives, Knight recently launched a sportswear collection, MYKA.Mychael. Two years ago, the young designer moved to Los Angeles for a career change, which led to styling opportunities with celebrities such as Sherrie Shepherd.
The Knight Daily took to Instagram to release an official statement on Mychael’s untimely death.
The young talent will be greatly missed.
