NFL trades are never as poppin’ as NBA moves, we get that.

But a lot of sh-t actually went down as the trade deadline loomed. It’s quite probable that some of your favorite players got moved around. It started with ESPN writer Adam Schefter tweeting out that an NFL source told him that this would be the most active trade deadline ever, and he was right.

Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals

The big trades started with Adrian Peterson. After suffering some tough beginnings in 2013, a horrible moment when his son died after the child’s mother’s live-in boyfriend assaulted him, Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges. He was reinstated during the 2015 season and picked up where he left off with an astonishing running game. And now that the 32 year old has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals, he’s getting way more touches than during his stint on the New Orleans Saints.

Apparently the Patriots are so confident in Tom Brady that they traded away their second string quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy G got a chance to showcase his skills during Brady’s four-game suspension last year, but the Pats are putting all their eggs in one basket, making Garoppolo a San Francisco 49er. “[I’m] thrilled to be here. I mean, just got here this morning. I couldn’t be happier,” he told ESPN Tuesday.

We already know that this move makes no sense, but Jay Ajayi was traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2018 fourth-round draft pick. Yup, Miami traded a Pro-Bowl quarterback for a future fourth rounder. The Eagles, on the other hand, came out on top, and with the squad already at 7-1, they’re about to make a real run for it this year.

AJ McCarron… stays in Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bengals v Cleveland Browns

Our favorite moment of the trade deadline that didn’t actually happen was provided by the Cleveland Browns. The 0-8 Browns wanted to trade a future draft pick for the Bengals’ AJ McCarron. The only thing is the Bengals sent their approval of the trade at 3:55 p.m., ahead of the 4 p.m. deadline. What’s even funnier is that the Browns forgot to send their approval because team executives were too busy celebrating. Sorry, Browns fans.
