Building off Steve Caballero’s iconic skating legacy, Vans is releasing an update on its first signature shoe, The Full Cab. Featuring premium suede and crocodile embossed leather with a gold dragon lace lock, the new high-top comes in in blanc de blanc, black, racing red and scarab green (exclusive to Foot Locker) colorways.
I wanted a shoe that was functional for vert and skating pools but that was also stylish.
Originally named the Caballero, the Full Cab was introduced in 1989, and the legendary skater played an instrumental role in the design of his signature shoe. Growing in popularity in the mid ’90s, The Full Cab would go on to define skateboarding footwear for over a decade, transforming into a lifestyle staple.
“I wanted a shoe that was functional for vert and skating pools but that was also stylish,” Caballero says of his signature sneaks. And he definitely succeeded.
