It needs to be said that most movie franchises from the past don’t need to be rebooted for current times (see: Kevin Hart trying to bring back Mrs. Doubtfire). But when reboots are done right, they’re proven to have much success both in the hearts of fans and at the box office. From the looks of things, those who were big-time fans of the Ocean’s Eleven movie series—starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and an all-star cast who pulled off some of the biggest heists in Hollywood—are in for a treat come 2018.

Ocean’s 8 looks to pick up where Ocean’s 13 left off in the world of high-stakes thievery. Still-shots from the film were leaked back in the summer of 2016, when we saw an all-woman cast of some familiar faces sitting in a New York City subway car. Sandra Bullock plays lead Debbie Ocean, sister to Clooney’s Danny Ocean. The cast includes Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, and more.

The film’s first trailer just dropped, and it looks like the project is fire. The trailer shows Bullock enjoying her newly granted parole and eager to get back into the game. But she needs help. We see her build her team, enlisting the help of Rihanna, Paulson, Kaling, and Awkwafina for one big job: dropping in on the Met Gala to steal a necklace from Daphne Kluger, played by Anne Hathaway. In typical Ocean’s fashion, we see clips of sleight-of-hand, high-level computer hacking and whatever else it takes to get the job done.

With appearances from Olivia Munn and James Corden, and cameos from members of the Kardashian clan and Anna Wintour, it looks like we’ll be ready to go for the gold (or diamonds) come June 8, 2018.
