Dallas Cops Pulled Over Erykah Badu on New Year’s Eve… To Say “Hi.”
We get it. It’s Erykah Badu, and as VIBE notes, it’s not outside the ordinary for police to pull over folks on New Year’s Eve to ensure you get home safely. But really? Pulling over someone in the middle of the night to say, “Hi”? In 2017? When Black folks are being killed at traffic stops? We just…. Nah, fam.
Erykah appeared to have taken the whole thing lightly, as judged by a video she shared on Instagram, but like us, some folks are feeling a way. “I have a funny feeling this clip will make it to his supervisor,” one user wrote. “It won’t be funny then, Officer Friendly!”
DJ Khaled’s Dropping More Than Bangers in 2018…
H e’s also dropping pounds. On New Year’s Day, Weight Watchers
announced Khaled’s partnership in its new WW freestyle program, in which the producer says he will focus on his three major keys: Weight Watchers, family, and health.
“The WW Freestyle program gives me balance between my busy lifestyle and health,” he states on the WW website. “I can go back-to-back from the studio to business meetings, be there for my son Asahd, and still keep my new habits.”
We look forward to watching his transformation. Another one!
