Starting the year off right, adidas Originals continues to evolve some of its most exciting styles. This week, the athletic brand is unveiling the latest silhouette from its NMD Series— the NMD_Racer— and a slew of classic NMD_R1 models.
Inspired by the sleek silhouette of competitive running shoes and the bold aesthetic of the 1980’s, the NMD_Racer features a vivid stripped-back design that’s new to the brand. Staying true to the nostalgic design language of the NMD series, the iconic three-stripes mark is featured alongside embroidered details on the vamp and a simple lacing system.
Accompanying the release of the NMD_Racer are three new iterations of the NMD_R1 inspired by earlier models from the series. Featuring adidas’ signature primeknit technology and unique textured STLT knit pattern, each style is offered in a bold colorway with a contrasting weave and sleek hardware accents such as EVA plug inserts and heel tags.
