2 “[My mother] grew up in a time when to be a good Black person was to be one who made white people feel comfortable. So that daughter was going to say, I’m going to proudly make people uncomfortable when I walk into a room because I’m going to change the energy of it.” – Lena Waithe

3 “Someone once told me that it’s a small revolution in itself just to be a person of color and be a woman and be yourself.” – Amandla Stenberg

7 “We can disagree and still love each other, unless your disagreement is rooted in my oppression and denial of my humanity and right to exist.” – Linda Sarsour
