Killer Mike Issued an Apology Re: His NRA Interview

Killer Mike ruffled some feathers with comments he made in a recent interview with the NRA, during which he defends gun ownership and says he discouraged his kids from participating on #NationalWalkoutDay. According to Mike, however, the interviews may have been used out of context by the organization on the same day as the March For Our Lives rally.

“That interview was used a week later by NRATV to disparage a very noble campaign that I actually support,” he says in one of two videos recently shared via Twitter. He then goes on to apologize to the young activists who organized the event. “I’m sorry that an interview I did about a minority—Black people in this country—and gun rights was used as a weapon against you guys. That was unfair to you and it was wrong, and it disparaged some very noble work you’re doing.”

Chance The Rapper May Be on to Something.

“I think some companies are purposely putting out noticably [sic] racist ads so they can get more views,” Chance wrote on Twitter on Sunday. His observation was made in response to an ad for Heineken Light, which suggests that “sometimes lighter is better.”

We wouldn’t put it past them.
