L ast Sunday, June 4, was National Cognac Day and CASSIUS celebrated the “holiday” as only we can. The team commemorated the French-made spirit by partnering with Hennessy and Hennessy V.S.O.P. to create a specialty cocktail that is the embodiment of the brand’s mantra, “Never Stop, Never Settle,” and the CASSIUS motto, “Born Unapologetic.”
The crew discussed the ingredients that would make the cut for our original cocktail, and after careful deliberation (and many meticulously thorough taste test sessions), we came up with a final blend, and “The CASSIUS” was born. Try it out.
“The CASSIUS” (makes 6, 4-oz servings)
- One 32-oz pitcher
- One bottle of Hennessy V.S.O.P. (350 ml/approx. 12 oz)
- 6 ounces of cranberry juice
- 3 ounces of pineapple juice
- 3 ounces of ginger ale
- Sliced fruit (pineapples, strawberries, peaches, blueberries)
-Pour Hennessy into pitcher.
-Add cranberry juice, pineapple juice and ginger ale, and stir.
-Add sliced fruit and let mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to marinate.
-Stir ingredients to ensure an even mix.
-Serve with one ice cube per glass.
