A Roseanne Spin-Off Has Been Confirmed, and We’re Really Wondering Why.
ABC has announced that it’s replacing the disgraced show with The Conners, a show chronicling Roseanne’s family—but without Roseanne. According to a statement released by the network, Roseanne Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the series.
“The Conners’ stories demonstrate that families can always find common ground through conversation, laughter and love,” they wrote. “The spinoff will continue to portray contemporary issues that are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago.”
