CasBar: Terrence J Takes On Our ‘Tekken’ Challenge & Offers Sound Financial Advice

Dismiss

On the latest episode of CasBar, we chop it up with actor, producer, and host Terrence J. We’re back on our Tekken wave to see if host Michael Wade has learned anything from the Ls he’s been catching lately.

But you know we gotta go over the rules first:

  1. If Team CASSIUS wins, Terrence has to answer any crazy question we ask. If he wins, he gets to plug whatever he wants for 15 seconds.
  2. To make things fair, for each round, both players are allowed to change their characters.
  3. And most importantly, Team CASSIUS better not get its a*s kicked.

Before the game even starts, Wade mentions that he hasn’t had any dubs in Tekken or even 2K lately, and asks Terrence if he’s learned anything from messing up earlier in his career. Terrence admits that during his 106 & Park days, he fell victim to trying to keep up with the Joneses. Interviewing rappers every day with huge chains around their neck who’d recently signed their first million dollar deals made him feel like he had to live beyond his means. But those money problems may have been a blessing in disguise.

“Now I’m very fiscally responsible, I understand and am able to help other people with their finances, and you learn that you don’t need to keep up with other people. All you have to do is what makes you happy and stay within your own means,” Terrence says. Wade hopes interviewing Terrence will throw him off a bit so he can take a few Ls in Tekken, but you’ll have to watch the entire episode to see who comes out on top.
