Kanye West’s Yeezys Are Finally At JD Sports & Are Already Crashing The Site After Selling Out
Kanye West’s quest to regain mainstream status after repeated cancellations hasn’t been without its bumps in the road, but he just took a major step.
He’s always wanted his designs to be available to the masses at affordable prices, and his dream has now been realized with his partnership with JD Sports, which is officially live.
The England-based outfitter has become the official store to host a range of Yeezy items beginning today, August 13, at 9am.
JD Sports is making a big deal out of the partnership. Head to their homepage, and atop it you’ll see a carousel of all the new Yeezy footwear, with a banner above it that reads “The New Uniform Has Arrived,” and it brags “YZY, Only at JD.”
After clicking the Shop Yeezy button, the slides and other Yeezy footwear are available for purchase.
The first drop includes:
- YEEZY YS-01 — $44 [in seven colorways]
- YEEZY YS-02 — $56
- YEEZY BL-01 — $108
- YEEZY AQ-01 — $66
- YEEZY HL-02 — $66
Mixing anything Yeezy with a fair price is a recipe for a product to fly off the shelves, and fans proved just that. Both styles of the slides appear to be sold out.
The BL-01s, casual shoes with a retro running aesthetic, are still available in select sizes, but availability is dwindling.
Out of the new Yeezy silhouettes, the most daring designs aren’t seeing much interest, starting with the AQ-01s, which are a rubberized slip-on that sit low to the ground and have a perforated upper for breathability.
The HL-02, Ye’s Wedge Mule Sandals, also still has a full size run on the site.
There’s still no word on the specifics of Yeezy’s partnership with JD Sports, especially regarding restocking or new product drops.
