Michael Jackson Wanted to Play James Bond.
Sure, Idris Elba as James Bond would be dope as hell and all, but could you imagine 007 doing the moonwalk!? In a new autobiography, esteemed Hollywood agent Michael Ovitz shares that MJ really wanted to be in an action movie. He especially wanted a role as Bond, “pleading” with the top dogs in film to allow him to be the first Black man to take on the role.
Ovitz didn’t see it for him though, gently telling him that he was “thinly built,” “too sensitive,” and wouldn’t “be credible as a brutal block of stone.”
Guess he didn’t get this memo.
Reports Say Climate Change Could Affect Human Evolution.
Not only are plants and animals growing and developing at an accelerated pace, but the change in climate could affect the way we—homosapiens—evolve as well.
“Climate change will alter the internal workings of our bodies in subtle but significant ways and will likely cause a noticeable shift in our appearance,” writes NBC. “Evidence suggests that a warming planet could melt away differences between human races — or population groups, as scientists more accurately call them.”
Feds Have Made Several Arrests in Connection with Unite the Right Weekend in Charlottesville.
Four men face federal charges after being arrested in connection with the August 2017 Charlottesville tragedy. The four individuals are Cole Evan White, Benjamin Drake Daley, Michael Paul Miselis and Thomas Walter Gillen, “each identified as marchers in either the torch rally on campus or the deadly gathering at the park the next day,” HuffPost reports.
The four men are from California and are said to be a part of the Rise Above Movement (RAM), which is described by HuffPost as a violent white supremacist group.
