Rapper and business man Diddy is known for giving back to the community in the best way that he can. His latest efforts? Opening a charter school in the Bronx.

The owner of Bad Boy and Combs Enterprises announced on Instagram that he’s giving money to the third iteration of Dr. Steve Perry’s Capital Prep Charter School. Capital Prep has outposts in Hartford, CT and Harlem, NY.

“It’s about educating our children, building them up as leaders, bringing them up to fight for social justice, preparing them for this world we live in,” he said in the video. “Education is my passion, so I’m going to donate a million dollars to make sure that the school gets off on the right foot.”

As Combs said, this isn’t his first investment in education. He’s also given a $1 million gift to Howard University to launch a scholarship fund.
