On the latest episode of CasBar we got a chance to pick up the sticks with Corey Calliet, celebrity trainer and TV personality. Calliet was the man behind getting Michael B. Jordan in shape for “Creed 2,” so you know we had to go a couple of rounds with him in Ready 2 Rumble Boxing.
But before we get into that, we gotta make sure folks know the rules:
- If Team CASSIUS wins a round, Calliet has to answer any crazy question we ask. If Calliet is winning, he gets to plug whatever he wants for 15 seconds.
- To make things fair (and speed things up) there will be three rounds.
- And, most important: Team CASSIUS better not get its ass kicked.
As Michael Wade and Calliet get the game started, Calliet reveals that when he started getting into working out it had nothing to do with wanting to be in shape or even a health thing— it was because he wanted to impress women. He also goes into detail about being a mail carrier in Louisiana, turning his mail route into a workout of its own, and eventually quitting because he knew he wanted to train full-time.
“I quit while believing in myself, but not knowing if anyone else was going to believe in me,” he remembers. He first started training with stars for Fantastic Four, and that marked his first stepping stone.
Watch the latest episode of CasBar up top to see if Calliet is just as skilled in the ring as he is gripping a controller.
