Nipsey Hussle’s Funeral Service Will Be Broadcast and Live-Streamed by BET Networks.

BET REMEMBERS: NIPSEY HUSSLE will be broadcast beginning Thursday, April 11 at 1 PM ET on BET and BET Digital. It will be anchored by BET News’ Marc Lamont Hill and entertainment journalist Gia Peppers.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Nipsey Hussle. Nipsey is part of the BET family and first appeared on the Network in 2009 in a Hip Hop Awards cypher, we share this loss with his millions of fans around the world,” Connie Orlando, Head of Original Programming at BET Networks, said in a statement. “From his insurmountable talent to his commitment to reaching back to underserved communities Nipsey’s kind spirit will be sorely missed. We will keep his entire family as well as our BET sister, Lauren London, in our thoughts and prayers during this immensely difficult time.”

Job Applicants Will Soon No Longer Have to Take Drug Tests for Marijuana in NYC.

Except in the event that someone applies to safety and security sensitive jobs—for example, the NYPD, or any jobs connected to a federal or state contract or grant.

“Although the state has not officially legalized the drug just yet, the New York City Council has decided to pass a bill to ban most employers from requiring job applicants to take drug tests for marijuana,” TheHollywoodUnlocked.com explains.

You may recall Mayor Bill de Blasio’s announcement from September stating that most residents caught smoking weed in public would no longer be arrested. Instead, folks only have to pay a $100 fine if caught lighting up in the open. BUT! If you have a warrant out for your arrest, have recently been arrested for a violent crime, are on parole or probation, or don’t have an ID on you, you could still end up in cuffs.

Drake Says He’s Working on New Music.

Drake loves London. In fact, while performing at the O2 Arena in London on Tuesday, Drizzy told the audience that it’s “one of [his] favorite places to be in the world.” Inspired, he then shared that he may have new tunes on the way.

“What I’mma do, I kinda started night last night to be honest with you,” he told the crowd. “But I think what I’m going to do after this, is go home and I’mma make a new album so I can come back to London next year and so we can do this again.”

And knowing Aubrey, that album is probably coming much sooner than we think.
