Tyra Banks was already going down in history as one of the baddest putas of all time — but we ain’t mad at the occasional reminder.

Back in 1997, the living legend became the first Black woman to nab a solo Sports Illustrated cover and now, twenty-two years later she’s back with a motherf*cking vengeance. Landing one of three 2019 SI Swimsuit covers (alongside Camille Kostek and Olympic gold medalist Alex Morgan), she came out of retirement to show us what a grown woman looks like and did so in several teeny, tiny bikinis.

“I never thought it would be possible to be 45 years old and on the cover of this magazine again,” the supermodel, Top Model host, mom, and actress said in a behind-the-scenes clip.

“The three women that make up the covers of the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue represent the brand in the most powerful way possible,” SI Swimsuit Editor MJ Day said of the viral shoot. “While each individual woman is so unique, they come together cohesively to tell a spectacular story.”
