Back in April, the nation was shocked to learn John Singleton suffered a massive stroke that would eventually lead to his death at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Months later, it seems many questions regarding the famous filmmaker’s hospitalization have been left unanswered, so his family has reportedly hired a private investigator to fill in the blanks.

“… Some of the mothers of his children are very suspicious of the events leading up to John checking himself into the hospital in mid-April,” TMZ‘s sources reportedly claim. “As we reported, he had just returned from a trip to Costa Rica at the time. We’re told nobody seems to know how Singleton got to the hospital — he didn’t drive himself, no friends or family are saying they took him, and there are no Uber or Lyft receipts to confirm how he arrived.”

According to the site, sources say Singleton “appeared out of nowhere in a wheelchair” and seemed “out of it.” The mothers of his children reportedly believe there is more to the story and would like to know who he was communicating with.

Singleton’s family remains in our prayers at this time and we will continue to keep you updated.
