Nicki Minaj & Fiance Reportedly Obtain Marriage License In LA

Nicki Minaj and her problematic boyfriend and rumored fiance Kenneth Petty are reportedly one step closer to jumping the broom. TMZ is exclusively reporting the couple quietly obtained a marriage license in Los Angeles. The “Megatron” rapper has been long hinting at tying the knot with Petty and with some of her fans speculating the couple has already made it official after she suggested she obtained a marriage license back in June.

Well, this is an interesting development.

Sources with knowledge tell TMZ … Nicki and Kenneth Petty took a trip together to the Bev Hills Courthouse Monday. Witnesses say they saw Nicki and her boo at the marriage license bureau window, and they got the paperwork they need to tie the knot.

Nicki and Kenneth were trying to keep a low profile inside the courthouse as they waited in line at window that read, “marriage licenses and ceremony appts. ONLY” … and Kenneth paid for the license before they left. Nicki was wearing a ball cap, but it’s hard to hide that knee-length bright red ‘do.

No official date has been set for the wedding, but if this rumor rings true the couple only has 90 days to exchange vows. So don’t be surprised if Minaj pops on the scene calling herself Ms.Petty. We don’t know how much of her fans will approve of a union with Petty who is a registered sex offender. Minaj defended her rumored fiance during a July 26 episode of her Queen Radio show.

“When a person is with [someone] that loved them before they had a dime in their pocket? How do you not understand that? How f***ing dare you talk about lowering standards,” she said. “It’s the truth, money cannot buy me happiness and good sex.”

Riiiiggggghhhht. We shall see how this plays out.
