Black Family Enjoying Gift Opening in Home Living Room

This coming Sunday (June 16), fathers around the nation will gather with their families and hopefully, get some well-deserved relaxation. A typical Father’s Day tradition is giving gifts to Dad and we’ve got a wide array of gifts for the fathers or father figures in your life.

Father’s Day typically centers on Dad getting a meal, his favorite drink, perhaps letting him command the remote control for the day, and other ways to make the big guy feel special. There is usually an emphasis on “real dude” stuff like cigars, whiskey, and grilling tools. While all of that is fine and dandy, Dads these days aren’t so easy to figure out.

In our travels, we’ve encountered Dads who like to explore nature, grow plants, expand their accessories collection, update their fashion, and even get into some games.  This list is another hefty one but we feel it covers the gamut of possibilities for the best gifts for Father’s Day.

Some of the gift ideas below have appeared in guides we’ve done in times past, along with several new entrants. As always, we’ll mention anything we know about the products, especially ones we’ve had the honor of trying out ourselves.

For now, peruse the gift guide, and Happy Father’s Day to all.

NOTE: This post will get continual updates throughout the week.

3. Arca Gear

I don’t know much about Arca Gear but I love what they’re about. As someone who loves long walks, having a place to store all my goods while on the go is a chore. Arca Gear handles that and more with enough space in its Arca Gear Hyrdo Carrier for bottles up to 64 oz in size.

5. Aura

Aura is all about WiFi-connected digital photo frames that come in a variety of sizes, styles, and finishes. I have a digital photo frame but it’s on the older side and requires a memory card upload to cycle out the images. You won’t have that issue with Aura as it comes equipped with an app where other users can share their memories too, and it even plays videos. That’s awesome.

Dads deserve comfy, silky soft pajamas too and Bellabu Bear fits the bill. Designed at first to help the founder’s daughter rest well at night and not irritate her skin, Bellabu Bear is the only clothing brand to be recognized by the National Eczema Association. The brand is perfect for Dads with sensitive skin and I can confirm these are some of the comfiest pajamas I’ve ever worn.

9. Couchmaster Cycon 2 by Nerdytec

I’ve been a remote worker for well over a decade and like all home workers, I’ve picked up the bad habit of placing my very expensive laptop in precarious positions, including my lap. The Couchmaster Cycon 2 by Nerdytec, a device we’ve covered before, seems to be a solution for folks like me and also for gamers who want to lay up comfortably. I haven’t tried out the device yet but I hope to do so soon.

It seems mad cliche, but flasks are truly a great Father’s Day gift. But why be boring about it? If you want to impress Dad, get him a flask from the homies at High Camp Flasks. Of the brands I’ve covered in this gift guide, I can give readers a resounding cosign for Hippy Feet. Get Dad some dope socks and tell Hippy Feet D.L. Chandler sent you.

17. King Kongin

Energy drinks have been the rage for years but plenty of them are loaded with sugars, and artificial colors and generally taste like some mid. King Kongin claims to bring something new to the space with zero sugar, zero carbs, no artificial colors, and 180 grams of caffeine to give Dad a good boost before a workout or before hitting the links. Master P, Snoop Dogg, and bodybuilder NDO Champ are brand ambassadors, so some official people from the culture stamp it.

19. LâMO

I’ll keep it one million with you. I’m not a beach person. Summer is not my favorite time of year, I can’t swim, it’s too hot, I can keep going. That said, I put on a pair of LâMO and now I’m ready to hit the sands. I think it was from a place of sheer ignorance, but I never knew flip-flops could be this comfortable. If your Dad is a beachgoer, this is an easy cop. And they’ve got far more than just flip-flops too. Color me interested.

I shared Moss Air in last month’s Mother’s Day gift guide and I’ve been rocking it ever since. I’d post a photo but currently, my home is a wreck so we’ll get that photo shoot going later. If your Dad gets the sniffles around this time of year due to impurities in the air, this is what he needs.

24. Oyin Handmade

I’ve been using Oyin Handmade for several years now and it is the most consistent hair product I’ve ever used. Each time I made the foolish choice of abandoning the brand, my hair paid the price. The Levi Fisher Bundle, which is pictured, is for all the bearded Dads up there and I’ve purchased this bundle many times since its initial release.

34. There’s Work to Be Done. (An Official Yellowstone Quote Book)

Yellowstone, a series created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, was one of the first times I breezed through a show and felt that the story was told as clearly as possible. The popular series has spawned several spinoffs and IP, including the new book There’s Work to Be Done. (An Official Yellowstone Quote Book).  If you’ve seen the show, straight talk reigns supreme on the Dutton cattle ranch. Also, one of my grandparents was indigenous and I’m always fascinated to see his people have their stories told. Get this book if Dad is into Yellowstone.

35. The Southern Scholar

As a remote worker, I don’t get a lot of opportunities to show off my “good clothes” as my mother would say but I do have some fly stuff in the closet. One area that I struggle with is the dress sock game but The Southern Scholar got me completely together. Founder Kevin Wohlman grew tired of dress sock options that slouched and didn’t employ the look he was going for and went all-in by ditching the world of finance to begin The Southern Scholar. Mr. Wohlman, you’re appreciated.

36. Tonnino

One of the first meals I made as a kid that I eventually perfected is what I call my Kitchen Sink Tuna Salad, which involves a top-secret (kidding) blend of herbs, spices, mayo, and more. I won’t mention the brands I used but none of them appeared to be of the quality I’m seeing with Tonnino. I haven’t tried the brand yet but I’m intrigued by its lineup of marinated tuna filets, tuna in tins, and even salmon filets. If your Dad likes to chef it up or is trying to employ sustainable and ethical eating to his routine, this looks to be a great place to start.

38. Tote&Carry

I came across the Tote&Carry brand most unusually. I was watching Rapsody, a world-class rapper out of North Carolina, who sat down with music executive Ray Daniels for The Artist Spotlight. At the end of their chat, Daniels handed Rap a bag from Tote&Carry, and the quality struck me. I discovered they also make bags and apparel for men. I haven’t tried out any of their products but from the looks of things, the founders Tony Rey and Tony Dennis are well on their way to greatness.

My late Pop-Pop was an interesting man. He wasn’t much into socializing, the total opposite of my Nana, who loved entertaining guests. Pop spent a lot of time in the garden and the vegetables and fruit he grew became part of his wife’s spread often. I bet he’d be tickled to see folks getting into home gardening. No, literally, gardening in the home. Watex, founded by Denise Sung, offers a solution for people who want to grow produce in the comforts of home while learning a valuable skill.

If Dad is into game night, make it a fun one with the What’s Next? A Life Sized Drinking Game. This game from the M&J Games company is literally life-sized as players have to engage in a series of silly tasks in order to advance. If you don’t complete the task, you’ll have to take a drink.
