Rita Ora celebrates her 34th birthday today, and she’s already lived many lives.
She first hopped onto the scene stateside back in 2008 when she caught the eye of
Jay-Z and later became one of the first signees to his newly formed label, Roc Nation. However, her debut album Ora wouldn’t come out until 2012, with dance-pop track singles like ‘How We Do (Party)’ and ‘R.I.P.’—both skyrocketed up the UK music charts thanks to collaborations with producers like Will.i.am, The Dream, and Diplo.
As her reputation grew, she began touring more, supporting acts like Cold Play on their Mylo Xyloto Tour and
Drake‘s Club Paradise Tour through 2012.
Her next album,
Phoenix, wouldn’t drop until 2018, but she kept busy, taking her talents to Hollywood with roles in
Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, and
Fifty Shades Freed. Her acting chops grew, and she was most recently in
Descendants: The Rise of Red this year in a leading role as the Queen of Hearts.

She’s also made a name for herself in television competition shows, where she judged an entire season of
The X Factor and
The Voice Australia and is currently on
The Masked Singer UK. The Brit was a host on
America’s Next Top Model, but despite being able to strike a pose, she previously told
Women’s Health UK about her struggles with her body.
“Am I body confident? No,” she told
Women’s Health UK. “Have I always felt that way, no. I didn’t feel great about myself, in fact. I’ve never looked at myself as being the perfect size or having the perfect body. As females, there’s always something we don’t like about our bodies. It’s a normal thing.”
Still, Ora’s
been known to post the occasional striking photo on Instagram. For her 34th birthday, we gathered some of the most gorgeous IG moments below.
