After spending millions of dollars on Streamer University, which helped ignite the careers of small creators while still offering the hijinks of his more well-known friends, Kai Cenat’s got another idea.

The founding member of the AMP collective now wants to create his own reality TV-style show, but wants streamers to play the cast. He revealed the news on a recent stream, modeling it after one of his favorite shows to binge.

“One thing that I will confirm, I will be doing in the future is a Total Drama Island vibe with streamers. Now, we don’t know when this is going to be, but do know that I can confirm that,” he said. “People also talk about summer camp. I’m not confirming. Or denying anything, but a lot of things are being talked about and I’m seeing it.”

He continues, “But one of the things that I’ve been wanting to do is if you have the clip from a long time ago. Total Drama Island is one of my favorite TV shows, [a] cartoon. If you don’t know what it is, that’s cool.”

For those unaware, Total Drama Island is a Canadian cartoon that parodies the reality show Survivor, pitting people in the wilderness and leaving them to their own devices to survive. The cartoon similarly features its own Jeff Probst-like host, where attendees of Ontario’s Camp Wawanakwa face increasingly difficult and dangerous tasks each week, hoping to avoid being voted off by other contestants. The campers are split into two groups, but as they are eliminated throughout the weeks, it’s every man for himself as they chase the $100,000 prize.

Twenty-six seasons deep, the show has been running since 2007. Survivor is still 10 years older, but with that longevity, Cenat is bringing the classic reality show competition vibe to a younger audience; he could have a hit on his hands.

For those who prefer the collegiate streaming setting, don’t worry. Cenat confirmed from the dean’s office back in May that, when it comes to Streamer University, “there will be a year two if I have the patience and everything goes according to plan.”

Cenat continues to prove that media consumption is changing, and Gen Z is leading the charge by producing the content they want to see.
