Super Bowl LIX got off to a slow start as the Philadelphia Eagles were leading the Kansas City Chiefs 24-0 heading into the half.
The seeming blowout left the game pretty dull, which only added to the excitement of
Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance, which surely didn’t disappoint.
He was joined on stage by a bunch of dancers dressed in red, white, or blue, who even formed the American Flag as he performed hits like ‘Loyalty,’ ‘Humble,’ and ‘Luther’ off of GNX once SZA joined him.

But eventually, it was time to rap the song fans had been waiting for, ‘Not Like Us,’ which cemented his win in the beef against
Drake.
Lamar teased the song several times with the help of
Samuel L. Jackson, dressed as Uncle Sam to continue the patriotic theme. At one point, K. Dot plays the beat for a second as he has a back-and-forth with the background dancers, saying, “I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue,” with a smile on his face.
Then, he eventually played the song, as fans waited to see which lyrics he’d omit out of fear of being censored. He neglected to say ‘certified pedophile but had a devilish grin when he said, “Say Drake, I hear you like them young,” while staring into the camera. He also said the “A minor” that the stadium echoed even
louder than the Grammys.
To add salt to the wound of
OVO fans everywhere, even fellow Compton native
Serena Williams appeared during the chorus and crip walked.
