Moriah Mills has hit a snag in her quest to file a lawsuit against Zion Williamson.
The pornstar previously sought council with Tony Buzbee, who’s known for representing victims in high profile sexual assault cases —like Diddy and Deshaun Watson— has decided not to work with her.
In speaking to TMZ, the Texas-based lawyer reveals that a member of his practice spoke to her and declined to proceed.
Buzbee, however, said that not working with her doesn’t determine whether her accusations are true, blaming it on a case volume issue.
“We can’t comment about the details or merits of her claims,” he told TMZ. “As you know, we are contacted by numerous people across the United States daily with grievances. We can’t help them all. Some of those we do take are resolved quietly. A number are filed and litigated, like the $640 million jury verdict we achieved a few weeks back. Only a small few become public.”
Mills also confirmed to TMZ that Buzbee was passing, only saying “her case didn’t match what Buzbee best litigates.”
We still don’t even know what Mills would be suing Williamson for or the alleged behavior he is accused of inflicting on her. All that’s known is that she called herself a victim last week when the multimillion-dollar lawsuit calling the New Orleans Pelican a rapist and kidnapper was filed.
The alleged victim says she began dating Williamson while a freshman at Duke, with the abusive behavior arriving later. She reported that the sexual assault first occurred at a home he was renting in Beverly Hills, and he forced himself on her by pinning her to the bed when she was trying to go to sleep.
The lawsuit also accuses him of threatening to hurt her family and to shoot her “in the head while the security guard was present and carrying a loaded firearm multiple times in Louisiana between 2020 and 2023.”
Williamson’s legal team at Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver LLC has denied all the allegations.
“We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and we unequivocally deny them,” the statement begins, according to ESPN. “The allegations contained in the complaint are categorically false and reckless. This appears to be an attempt to exploit a professional athlete driven by a financial motive rather than any legitimate grievance.”
As for his relationship with Mills, it reportedly soured in 2023 when she was angry that he broke the news he was having a kid with another woman while the two had been recently intimate. She proceeded to drag him on social media over his lack of talent, inability to lose weight, and troll him with fake tattoos of his face and pregnancy tests.
