The U.S. Secret Service is closing the sidewalk along the south lawn of The White House for good, reports Reuters. The decision comes after a man trespassed onto White House grounds by climbing a fence while Trump was inside on March 10. According to the news outlet, “Blocking use of the south fence sidewalk will not obstruct the public’s ability to view or photograph the White House and its grounds” and “no additional ‘physical’ barriers” are being installed. Cuba Gooding Sr.—lead singer 1970s soul group The Main Ingredient and father of Cuba Gooding Jr.—was found dead inside of his car in Los Angeles on Thursday. LA Times reports that his body was found “slumped over the wheel of his Jaguar” on Ventura Boulevard around 1 p.m. While no signs of foul play were reported by LAPD officials, the news outlet says alcohol containers and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle at the time of Gooding’s death. TMZ reports a possible overdose.
