Proud Black father Joel A. Carter is raking up headlines after he turned what was arguably one of the most explicit radio hits of the year into a kid-friendly, call to action. Carter and his daughter go bar for bar in their remix to Yo Gotti‘s “Rake It Up,” and it might be the best music video we’ve seen all summer ’17.

With the kids killing their choreography in the background, Carter raps, “I tell all my kids ‘Go rake it up,’ break it down, we college bound! Them A’s you rake it up!” and it’s equal parts hilarious and sweet.

But make no mistake, his daughter has bars, too. She comes in strong, starting her verse off with “Back on my grind, the summer over/I gotta get my head back straight like a soldier/I’m tryna make them A’s just like my daddy told ya/So I do my homework, study hard like I’m supposed to.” How cute is she?

Check out the Carters’ catchy back-to-school anthem above.
