In what appears to be a surprise release, Lil Uzi Vert announced on social media on Thursday that fans would be getting his newest project, Luv Is Rage 2, Friday at midnight. The Philly MC brought it with his first studio LP, which also serves as the sequel to his smash 2015 mixtape Luv Is Rage. The project is mostly Uzi by himself on the records with production by Metro Boomin, Maaly Raw, TM88, Wondagurl, Pierre Bourne, and mentor and frequent collaborator Don Cannon, but does pull in some star power with features by The Weeknd and Pharrell Williams. The album features his breakout single, “XO Tour Life,” and culminates a busy 12 months for the young rapper, who he released three mixtapes last year, including a collaborative project with Gucci Mane. Check out Luv Is Rage 2 below.

When news broke that members of The Internet would release individual projects, many fans wondered if the new material would have the same feel that made the group so popular. Frontwoman Syd did all that and more, and after releasing her solo album Fin earlier this year, she’s back with a new song “Bad Dream/No Looking Back.” Featuring dual production from Gwen Bunn for the first half of the record and Ricci Riera for the second, the singer dropped the song on Twitter, where she wrote, “Play this while you watch the eclipse.

Toronto’s Daniel Caesar has been a mainstay on #NewFindsFriday and CASSIUS for a while, and for great reason. The talented singer is bringing R&B soul back to playlists everywhere. His debut album Freudian has finally dropped, and everyone from day-one fans to new ones will fall in love with Caesar’s vocals and production. His standout singles “Get You,” “We Found Love,” and Blessed” make an appearance on Freudian, and as good as the project is, I wouldn’t be surprised if the album is makes all the “Best Projects of the Year” roundups in December.

Harlem NY’s ASAP Mob has made strides in various aspects of pop culture, from fashion to music and everything in between. But the group of friends turned creative house have always stuck to their roots, and with the sequel to the first Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends, the unit is looking to further establish themselves as one of the most unique forces in music. With accompanying appearances from Jaden Smith, Big Sean, Key!, ScHoolboy Q, Playboi Carti, the Flatbush Zombies, Lil’ Yachty, Joey Bada$$, Frank Ocean, and Quavo, the Mob has provided enough posse cuts to rock out to well into fall.

“Crew,” the hit single from Goldlink featuring Sonder lead singer Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy, has been certified gold, and to celebrate the achievement, the DC rapper released a special pack of remixes of the song. The new versions include one with legendary Go-Go bands New Impessionz and Backyard Band, a remix with a guest verse by Gucci Mane, and a version with producer Richie Souf. A personal favorite was the version created by singer/producer/rapper Lido, as the Norwegian artist gave the record his own spin. Check out Lido’s version and the entire remix pack below.

Q Money — Work

I admittedly don’t know much about Q Money, but the Cleveland, Ohio, rapper is doing big things with his new single “Work.” We might have to add “Q Money with the dance moves” to our repertoire soon.
