Eminem’s Shady Records imprint hasn’t necessarily featured the biggest stars in hip-hop, but that might change with its latest addition. The label used the wave generated by Eminem’s powerful BET Hip Hop Awards cypher to announce that it signed Boogie, a rising rapper out of Los Angeles.

Previously signed to Interscope Records, the rapper born Anthony Dixson is no rookie. He released his widely acclaimed debut project, Thirst 48, back in 2014, then followed it up with 2015’s The Reach, and 2016’s Thirst 48 Part II. He’s received some success with his singles, including “Oh My,” “Bitter Raps,” and “Sunroof,” and he’s always been about the bars, as seen in the Shady Records cypher at the awards. Newly signed artists Conway, Benny, and Westside Gunn also participated in the freestyle, showcasing the talent that Shady Records is looking to take into 2018.

Check out some of Boogie’s past work below, keep an eye out for his name in the future, and remember where you heard him first.
