It’s always a good time when big names in music come together to give the fans an audible treat to vibe out (or turn up) to. Many were surprised when Kendrick Lamar brought out Future during his headlining set at Coachella a few weeks back, serving as an ambitious hype-man while Future Hendrix performed his biggest record, “Mask Off” (the song reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100). But when Future sent a semi-mysterious tweet early on Tuesday, May 23, alluding that his Freebandz Gang imprint would be collaborating with K. dot’s Top Dawg Entertainment on a remix, the masses got hyped.

Going in over the Metro Boomin-produced record, Kendrick slides into his usual sporadic rhyme patterns, staying true to the recent success of his latest album, Damn, which went platinum in less than a month.

Check out Future and Kendrick on the remix to “Mask Off” below.
