Don’t be fooled by the pretty boy looks: give Adrian Torres a sewing machine, and he might just design his own runway look— and the next model’s too.
“I turned my apartment into an atelier with a mattress in the corner. As soon as I wake up, I get straight to drafting, cutting, sewing— the only time I leave is for fuel or modeling.” And his burgeoning clothing line, *OBSERVATIONS just might be one to watch. When he rolled through the CASSIUS offices for a casting call, Torres mentioned he’d designed the very jacket he was wearing—and yes, it was fresh AF.
Signed to Red Model Management for a year and a half, the 22 year old has already walked the Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci runway in Paris and shared a gig with Kylie Jenner. Here, Torres talks to CASSIUS about his embarrassing bookings, dealing with rejection and what he loves most about the industry.

“I was walking in the Lower East Side on my way to a photoshoot and my (now) agent approached me from across the street and asked if I’d be interested in modeling. Been a RED boy ever since.”

“Fashion designers Virgil Abloh and Olivier Rousteing. I also love what Demna Gvasalia is doing with the Vetements and Balenciaga [labels]. Currently, Glenn Martens has my undivided attention with Y/Project.”

“Marching down the Balmain for Olivier Rousteing runway must be an immense feeling I can only hope to experience. His shows are executed with such royalty.”

“Japan— I’d love to experience the street fashion culture there. Though, I’ve been to Paris, I’d want to sightsee more my next time around.”
HIS EPIC FAIL…
“Just recently, I ripped my pants doing cartwheels for a music streaming advertisement. I handled it like a champ, though I’m sure my cheeks turned red.”
HIS BIGGEST HURDLE…
“Dealing with rejection. Sometimes I may not get a job I really wanted and trying to not think about that sometimes can be tough.”
