Here’s What’s Known About the YouTube HQ Shooting.

On Tuesday (April 3) around 12:46 p.m. PDT, San Bruno, Calif. authorities began receiving calls regarding gunshots at YouTube’s headquarters. It was later confirmed that an active shooting was taking place, which left at least one dead (the suspect reportedly killed herself) and three injured.

The San Bruno Police Department identified the shooter as Nasim Najafi Adgdam, a woman in her late 30s who appeared to have grievances with YouTube for restricting her videos. Her brother told CNN he was concerned she may do something when she stopped answering her phone the prior weekend. He reportedly called police when her car showed up at the headquarters.

“We know that she was reported missing by her family in San Diego on the 31st of March, and that she was located in a community about 30 miles south of us early Tuesday morning,” San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini said on Good Morning America on Wednesday. “I don’t know what concerns were conveyed to that police department, or how or where those concerns were relayed to. So that is something we’re looking into.”

The president acknowledged the shooting via Twitter, thanking the officers who were on the scene.
