Here’s What We Know About the Toronto Van Attack Suspect.

The alleged driver in the Toronto van attack that killed 10 people and injured 15 has been identified as 25-year-old Alek Minassian of Richmond Hill, Ont. According to CBC Toronto—which confirmed the news on Monday just hours after the attack—Minassian, who appears to be a student at Seneca College per details shared on his LinkedIn profile, is currently in custody.

“Government officials briefed on the investigation so far say the suspect is not associated with any organized terrorist group and he does not represent a larger threat to national security,” CBC reports. Toronto police Deputy Chief Peter Yuen told reporters that he expects “a long investigation” to follow in the coming days.
