‘BLACKkKLANSMAN’ Is the Next Film You Need to Watch.
Spike Lee’s BLACKkKLANSMAN was the recipient of a six-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday night. If you haven’t been keeping up, the film tells the true story of how an undercover Black detective and his Jewish partner joined forces to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in 1979.
“Formal reviews have yet to hit, but critics were quick to declare “BlacKkKlansman” to be Lee’s best movie in years,” writes Variety. “IndieWire’s Eric Kohn called it ‘electric’ while the AP’s Jack Coyle labeled it ‘Spike to the max.'”

Joe Budden Is Headed to Revolt TV.
Word on the street is the former Everyday Struggle host has a new show on the way as part of a REVOLT TV deal with Diddy. Titled State of the Culture, the show aims to “deliver raw, unfiltered, and informative debates and interviews where Budden digs deep with prominent celebrities, artists and personalities.”
Budden told Billboard: “It was important to partner with a company that recognizes the growing need for our voices and ideas to stream freely without interruption. That was a much prettier way to say, we bout to be with the shits.”
Diddy also expressed excitement regarding the business move, adding that, “Joe has an authentic approach and he’s never afraid to speak the truth.”
“His many talents deserve a platform that pushes the culture forward and we are excited to produce next-level content with him,” Diddy said.

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has earned his first chart-topping song. According to Billboard, his latest single, “This Is America,” came in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. It’s also at the top of the Streaming Songs and Digital Songs Sales charts.
