‘Black Panther’ Props to Be Displayed at Smithsonian African-American Museum

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture has acquired several objects from the Black Panther set, including the costume worn by the star of the film himself, Chadwick Boseman.

In addition to the costume, they also acquired the script signed by the co-writer and director Ryan Coogler, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, executive producer Nate Moore, and co-writer/producer Joe Robert Cole; two pages of spec script; and 24 high-resolution production photographs. The museum said the film and collection “illustrates the progression of Blacks in film, an industry that in the past has overlooked Blacks, or regulated them to flat, one-dimensional and marginalized figures. The film, like the museum, provides a fuller story of Black culture and identity.”

It’s been a quiet couple of days for the Ball family. LiAngelo didn’t hear his name called at the Barclays Center during the 2018 NBA Draft, though he’s scheduled to play for the Lakers’ summer league and LaVar league isn’t looking too popular. Attendance was sparse, although the league could grow in popularity with time, as the New York Ballers took on the Los Angeles Ballers. Yes, all the teams are named the Ballers. The youngest Ball son, LaMelo owned the competition with 40 points and led his team to a 134-124 win. LaVar may be on to something.

All of the paintings were of her album covers. Let’s just say, the Beyhive didn’t take too lightly to a white woman referring to herself as the “master” in regards to two Black moguls.
