R. Kelly Reportedly Can’t Post Bail.
According to ABC 7 Chicago, Kelly hasn’t posted his $100,000 bail after his bond was set at $1 million over the weekend. Kelly remains in jail and is due back in court on Monday. His lawyer, Steve Greenberg, said the singer’s finances are “a mess.”
“This is someone who should be wealthy at this point in his career,” Greenberg told ABC. “And through mismanagement – through people, hangers on and bad contracts, bad deals, bad leases like he had on his studio – he doesn’t really have any money at this point.”
He may not even own rights to”I Believe I Can Fly,” Greenberg added.
Drake Has Scored His 10th Top 10 Album on the Billboard 200 Chart with So Far Gone.
The tape recently debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, “with 45,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 21 (7,000 in album sales) in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music,” writes Billboard.
