While Rihanna is busy building her empire, RihNavy is thirsting for new music from the superstar. Unfortunately, fans are simply going to have to wait, as she’s juggling a lot more than she used to.
During a conversation with her friend and Ocean’s 8 costar Sarah Paulson for Interview magazine, Rihanna talked about how busy she is these days and how difficult it has been to balance it all.
“It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to,” she told Paulson. “I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out. Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all.”
Currently the wealthiest female musician in the world, Rihanna went to on to say she likes the material she has so far, but wants it to be absolutely perfect before she puts it out.
“It really does suck that it can’t just come out because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete,” Rih continued. “It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like, ‘Even if I don’t have the time to shoot videos, I’m going to put an album out.'”
While Rihanna admits she doesn’t know how long of a wait it will be, she also said she has definitely blocked off some studio time for next month. Get into their full chat here.
